Notifications help you stay connected with the discussions. If someone responds to your post or upvotes your post, you will get a notification. Need to adjust how often you receive notifications? See how to update your notification preferences below. 

You will automatically be notified when someone responds directly to your discussion post. 

To unsubscribe from discussion notifications for a specific course that you are taking, go to your Learn tab on your Home page and select the three dots in the upper right corner of a course. Use the toggle buttons to switch off notifications for that course.

To receive weekly or daily notification digest emails, click on the bell icon in the upper right corner of the screen and then click the gear icon for settings. You can adjust your email digest notifications here (defaults to "Never"). 

Open your notifications settings in the upper right corner and revert to "Never." Save your changes. 

In some cases, you may want to subscribe to an individual discussion in order to get every response to that discussion, and not just direct responses to your own posts. To subscribe to a discussion, select the "Subscribe" button on that discussion board. 

If you need to unsubscribe to a specific discussion, select "Unsubscribe" on that discussion board. 

You can follow any notification straight to the original discussion by clicking on it. Once the discussion opens, use the unsubscribe button to stop receiving further notifications.
